Directorate of Punjab State Lotteries was established in the year 1968. The Directorate started functioning as a wing of the Finance Department of the Punjab Government. The Directorate of Nagaland State Lotteries was established in the year 1972. The Nagaland Directorate was then under the supervision of the Finance Department of Government of Nagaland. The Directorate of Sikkim State Lotteries functions as a Directorate under the Finance Department, Government of Sikkim.
